TWO DJs who found love over the mixing desk a doing their bit for charity.

Steve, 36, and Laura Holland, 27, from Old Colwyn, otherwise known as DJ Subzofo and DJ Decibelle, met over their mutual love of dance music and have been hard at work raising funds for local children’s charity Happy Faces ever since.

Steve, who is an IT manager by day, said: “We met DJ-ing and through various house parties five years ago and have been married for a year and a half now.
“We got into fundraising through a friend of ours, who had a night on to raise money for a man who was running a marathon for the charity. We were happy to help supply the music, but it was meant to be a ‘one night only’ kind of thing - that was two years ago.”

Despite caring for four children, the couple continued to spin the decks to raise vital funds for the charity, and following a short break are back putting on shows in aid of Happy Faces.

Steve said: “We ran monthly up until last August when the Bangor club we were in closed. We put some of our energy into our house for a bit and now we’ve started again. We put on a night at the Washington earlier this month, and are looking to host another night early next year.”
