Police investigate serious sexual assault

Dyfed-Powys Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious sexual assault on a 16 year-old female at Builth Wells.

The offence took place in the early hours of hours Sunday,  September 25.

Police can confirm that a 23-year old old local man has been arrested in relation to the offence and released on bail.

Police are not looking for any other person in connection with the offence but are seeking assistance from the public who may have been in the area at the time.  

“I’d appeal for any person who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area of St Mary’s Church graveyard in Builth Wells between midnight and 2.15am on Sunday 25 September 2011 to get in touch,” said Detective Inspector Owain Richards. “They can contact with Llandrindod Wells CID on 101."
