A NEW nightclub that opened in Bangor last weekend has enjoyed a great start to business, its owners have said.
Embassy nightclub, in the old post office building on Deiniol Road, opened its doors last Friday with a special launch night that featured a DJ set from former Big Brother winner Kate Lawler.
Resident DJ and head of promotions Ed Mackie, said the launch had lived up to the high expectations.
“The Opening night was amazing, we had a great crowd in,” he said.
“Everyone was loving the club and what we had done with the old post office.
“Kate was amazing , everyone was loving her music.
“She even did a stage dive!”
Throughout the week the club has hosted a variety of nights to welcome new students to the city.
Other nights have included a UV party on Monday, an “Indie vs Rock night on Tuesday, and a silent disco with headphones.
This Friday will see guest DJ set from Radio One Extra DJ, Fabio, on Friday.
Embassy features a main club, that will opens seven nights a week from around 9pm onwards, as well as a more relaxed lounge bar, which opens seven nights a week from 7pm.
The main club features state of the art music and sound systems and the bar, which is managed by cocktail expert Fiach O’Rourke, offers a wide range of drinks.
