TITLE hopefuls Llandudno picked up a big win against St Asaph on Saturday, as the Saints look ahead to a crucial weekend that will decide their Premier League fate.
St Asaph hold a 15 point lead over Hawarden Park in a two-way fight to beat the drop ahead of the final match of the season this weekend.
Visitors Llandudno declared on 228 for seven, with the St Asaph bowling line-up sharing the wickets.
Will Ryan and David North both took two wickets, whilst Jason Foulkes, Andrew Bellis and Keiran Lucas, who bagged a run-out, also claimed victims.
Ryan went on to top scorer for St Asaph with 31 on a low-scoring afternoon at the crease, contributing to a finishing total of 130 all out.
Mathew Ryan, Joe Lunn, Paul Fleming, North and Foulkes also reached double figures as the Saints fell short.
Relegation rivals Hawarden Park now need to pick up a win against Bangor to have any chance of staying up, whilst St Asaph’s destiny is in their own hands.
