POLICE are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of a missing man living near Chester.

Michael Kinsella, 46, from Bickerton, near Malpas, was last seen by his family on Sunday evening.

Michael is described as white, about 5ft 7in tall, with short greying dark brown hair. He also has noticeable tattoos on both arms, including a butterfly tattoo on the inside of his right forearm.

Cheshire Police spokeswoman Shelley Williams said: “When last seen, Michael was wearing pale blue jeans with a black jumper.

“He has limited money available to him and left his car at his home.

“Michael works in Crewe but also has links in the South Wales area, particularly Port Talbot where he used to live. Michael also used to live in Tattenhall and enjoys walking in the general area.”

Inspector Dave Smithers, who is co-ordinating the ongoing search, added: “We are appealing to the local community of Malpas and the surrounding areas, who may have seen Michael or anyone matching his description in the last 36 hours, to contact us.

“Similarly, I would appeal personally to Michael himself to come forward and make contact with your family or the police as we are very concerned about you.”

Call Cheshire Police on 0845 458 0000 quoting incident 727 on July 11 or anonymously on Crimestoppers 0800 111 555.
