Woman cyclist seriously injured in crash

A WOMAN  was seriously injured injured when her bicycle collided with a car near Bangor.

The woman, who is in the 30s, suffered head injuries in the collision with a red Peugeot 206 on the A4244 near the Ty Mawr Tea Rooms in Pentir yesterday (Monday, July 11).

A North Wales Police spokesperson said that the woman was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor.

The spokesperson added that the woman's injuries were not thought to be life threatening.
