BUDDING film-makers have screened their debut movie unearthing the secrets of our Welsh history.

Pupils from Ysgol Tudno and Ysgol Morfa Rhianedd in Conwy teamed up with Ysgol Pentrefoelas and Ysgol Uwchaled in Cerrigydrudion to make a short film titled Ebol, with the help of local artists Sean Harris and Jim Brook.

Ebol - which means foal - is an animated film based on Iron Age museum artefacts and tells a story of ancient Conwy from the Great Orme in Llandudno down to the south of the county, following mainly the route of the winding Conwy River.

The film was given its debut at Cineworld in Llandudno Junction last week, where pupils came together to enjoy their hard work.

About 100 children were involved in the film making project, which included visiting historical locations and Llandudno Museum to view a range of artefacts.
