If you're considering a trip to London to see a musical, you’ll probably be aware of the huge variety of shows playing in the West End. Going for a night or afternoon at the theatre is a special occasion and it’s important to ensure you choose a show that will make you happy. With this in mind, it’s worth considering Jersey Boys tickets; this show is one to watch, it will allow you and your theatre buddy to have a fabulous night on the town.

Jersey Boys, which is currently playing at the Prince Edward Theatre on Old Compton Street in the heart of London's Soho, tells the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons and how they rose to fame to become one of the most successful American pop bands of their day.

Although Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons were in the prime of their fame nearly 50 years ago, their legacy lives on as their well-loved songs continue to play across the airwaves. Even if you don’t think you’re a fan, you’ll be surprised by how much of this band’s music you already know. Everything from Oh, What a Night to Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You were first brought into the musical arena by the Jersey Boys.

The story told in this show does not reflect upon an easy ride to the top; it shows the heartache, the sacrifices, the highest highs and the lowest lows, and most of all, the huge amount of work it took for these boys to get to the top of the charts and eventually become inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990. This show tells a story of everything from the difficulties of balancing fame with family, tragedy, loss, and above all, a love of music that brought them to the top.

Of course, as this is a musical we are carried through this story by hearing all the songs that made Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons into such an iconic band; one that has been able to transcend the test of time. Everything from their first hit Sherry to other favourites such as Walk Like a Man, Begging You, Big Girls Don’t Cry, Bye Bye Baby and so many more.

If you are a fan of theatre, chances are that you’ve probably heard about Jersey Boys before, as this show has become such a phenomenon that over four million people in the world have already seen it; and the critical acclaim continues as it has won over 53 awards worldwide.

The cast is headlined by Ryan Molloy, who plays the leading role of Frankie Valli. Molloy not only resembles a young Valli during his prime years in the 60s, but his voice is impressively similar to that of Frankie Valli’s.

Valli has been made famous for his remarkably high voice, and Molloy has simply nailed it. In fact, you may find that each and every performance of the popular songs that are played during this show sound spot on when compared to their original versions.

Molloy certainly does lead this show, and his background in music production only further complements his ability and experience as a performer on the West End stage. Although Molloy is a British actor, audience members could easily be fooled into thinking he was a full-blown American as his New Jersey accent is beyond spot on. In fact, it would be fair to say that Molloy is indeed perfect for this role.

It should also be mentioned that for those who are lucky enough to get a hold of tickets, Jon Lee (of S Club 7 fame) is stepping in to play the role of Frankie Valli in a number of special performances. Whether you do get to see Jon or Ryan playing the leading role, you will be sure to have a great experience.

Also rounding out the cast are stellar performances by Jon Boydon, who plays the Four Season’s rather controversial and pushy thug turned manager Tommy Devito, and Eugene McCoy who plays band mate Nick Massi.

Tickets for this show are now available through to April 2012, and shows play on Tuesday through Saturday at 19:30; matinee showings are available on Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday at 15:00.

Ticket prices will vary in terms of seasonality and where exactly you end up sitting in each section of the theatre, so whatever your budget may be, you will find a reasonable solution and have the chance to sit down, relax, and enjoy a night of award-winning theatre. As this is a very popular show in the West End it is highly recommended to buy your tickets in advance before you travel into London.

If you do not get the chance to make the trip to London from North Wales often, or if it is your first time visiting, you may find it a good idea to look into booking package deals for hotels and West End shows. This way, you’ll not only be able to get the chance to experience a fantastic show like Jersey Boys, you will also get the chance to stay in central London and enjoy the many sights and sounds in the city.

Additionally, you’ll also find that there is a huge assortment of restaurants located in direct proximity of the Prince Edward Theatre, which means that you can have a pre-theatre tea just before the show begins.

Overall, if you’re a fan of the West End and appreciate the musical styling of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, or any bit of American pop music from this time, Jersey Boys certainly is the show you will want to go for on your next trip down to London’s theatre district.

Start to get excited by the possibilities that a night with Jersey Boys can bring to you; remind yourself of this fantastic classic pop music and see for yourself why this show ends with a standing ovation after nearly every performance.
