A BOY was airlifted to hospital after he fell while on a walking trip in Snowdonia.

The boy, 8, of Kent, was walking on Cwm Idwal with his family on Monday when he fell 10 feet into a stream.

His mother pulled him from the water and called the Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Team.

An RAF 22 Squadron helicopter flew the boy to hospital after he complained of neck pain.
