CONCERNS are growing for a young Llandrindod man, currently studying in Bath Spa, who has not been seen since Sunday night.
18-year-old James Bubear from Llandrindod was last seen in Bath city centre late Sunday night, March 13.
He has not contacted his housemates, friends or family which they say is extremely out of character for him.
Yesterday Avon and Somerset Police were out searching the River Avon as part of their hunt for James, who is in the first year of his media and creative writing course.
He had been on a night out with friends at Vodka Revolutions bar on George Street, before leaving at around 10.30pm and walking off alone.
James was walking back to his student flat in Waterside Court on Lower Bristol Road, and it is believed he may have followed a route along the river.
He is described as white, 6ft 2ins tall, of skinny build and with mousy brown hair.
He was wearing a navy or black jacket, a white shirt with 1970s-style collar and large cuffs, and jeans.
It is also known that James lost his mobile phone during the day on Sunday and that although it has now been picked up, it has not been handed in.
Police are urging whoever has it now to contact them and return it. They said that the person is not in trouble.
Anyone who has seen James or knows of his whereabouts is asked to call Bath Police on 0845 4567000.
Several Facebook campaign pages have now been set up. You can find them here - http://www.facebook.com/pages/Help-Find-James-Bubear/161439510577133 - and here - http://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=group_179864362050043&ap=1.
Tutors from the university have said they will pass the message on to students in Bath.
