VISITORS, competitors and traders and from across the UK flocked to this year’s Anglesey Show.
Spokesman Dan Jones said that the show, held at the Mona Showground in Gwalchmai had been a great success.
“It’s been a brilliant show - I can’t describe it any other way,” he said. “The weather has been perfect.”
31,000 people visited the show on Tuesday and a further 30,000 were expected for the final day today.
Breeders bought pigs, sheep, cattle, horses, ponies and poultry from across the region to compete for first prize at the show.
Mr Jones said that competition had been as fierce as ever.
“Everyone I’ve spoken to says that the competition has been first class and of the same quality as the Royal Welsh Show,” he said.
Winners on Tuesday included Iwan Huws with his Reserve Interbreed Best Champion Dairy Cow, Penrhos Ann.

Welsh part bred class.
The show featured 350 trade stalls from across the UK. Mr Jones added that the an Events Commission report in 2007 estimated that the event brought in around £12 million to the economy.
“People stay in hotels, eat at restaurants and fill up with petrol,” he said. “It all helps.”
