NEW YORK, Toronto, Rome, Stockholm, London and now Old Colwyn - a global tour featuring the best of rock and roll is coming to North Wales.
Top American acts have joined together for the 10th anniversary of the Light of Day Annual Concert Series.
A strong line up boasts New York rockers Jesse Malin, Willie Nile and Joe D’Urso, Philadelphia punk/folk band Marah and North Wales’ own Mike Peters completing the bill.
Thanks to a very special friendship with these great musicians, local organiser Simon Humphreys has secured a date at The Interchange on Friday December 11.
The show will be Light of Day Wales and features all the artistes in an intimate, acoustic set.
Light of Day raises awareness and funding to fight Parkinson’s Disease, after the foundation was started by music manager Bob Benjamin who was himself diagnosed with the condition when only 38 years old.
Half of the net profits from the Colwyn Bay show will go to the Parkinson's Disease Society Cymdeithas Clefyd Parkinsons.
This year’s tour of 22 shows in 13 countries kicked off in New York City and will be taking in Canada, Scandinavia, Italy, Spain and Ireland before stopping off in North Wales for one very special night of live music.
Rocker Jesse Malin is best known for his stint with glam-punk band D Generation, but his solo albums have brought him worldwide critical acclaim.
Willie Nile has shared stages with Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello and Joey Ramone, and is currently enjoying incredible success with his album House of a Thousand Guitars as well as having the opportunity to play on the last night of Bruce Springsteen's recent tour.
Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Joe D’Urso makes a welcome return to North Wales, and is best known with his band Stone Caravan by any Harley Davidson fan, having played the big anniversary shows for the world famous motorcycle manufacturer.
And Marah, who have been associated with Steve Earle and Bruce Springsteen, are renowned for blowing the roof off with their energetic performances.
After forming in the early 1990s, the band has a string of great albums showcasing their unique style of intense music.
Adding a little Welsh rock into the proceedings is the popular Mike Peters, who is no stranger the world stage or your local venue and will be performing his particular brand of high energy rock.
This is guaranteed to be a night of music to remember so be sure not to miss The Light of Day tour.
