ONE of Scotland’s best loved rock acts are set to play their best known tracks in Llandudno.

Simple Minds come to Venue Cymru on April 4 as part of their Greatest Hits Live tour, in what promises to be a memorable night for diehard and casual fans alike.

The Glasgow band is one of the most successful British rock acts, having topped America’s Billboard chart, scored six number one albums in the UK, as well hitting the top spot in countless other territories including Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Australia and New Zealand.

They are also arguably one of the best live bands in the world, and over a thirty year career have been responsible for some of the most innovative and enduring anthems in rock music.

Frontman Jim Kerr said: “When we started Simple Minds our objective was to be considered as one of the great live bands.

"A band that had the desire to go all around the world - playing everywhere and anywhere.

“That challenge is ongoing and we will relish touring all over the UK next Spring,
getting up close to so many who have supported us over the last three decades and more.”

Expect all the highlights from the lads’ back catalogue, including Alive and Kicking, Don’t You (Forget About Me) and Waterfront.

Tickets are £37.50. To book, contact the Venue Cymru box office on 01492 872 000, or visit www.venuecymru.co.uk.
