Peatbog Faeries to bring fiery folk rock to Bangor

PLENTY of fun and fine tunes are on the cards when one of Scotland’s finest musical exports comes to Bangor.

Pontio presents celtic fusion band Peatbog Faeries at Powis Hall on Sunday, October 7 for what promises to be a fantastic night out.

Nominated for the Best Live Act award at the 2012 BBC Radio Two Folk Awards, the band was once described as the future of celtic dance music, and have a reptuation as a fantastic live act.

The band, which is based on the Isle of Skye, formed in 1991 and have become known for experimenting with a wide array of genres.

Their seven albums have encompassed folk, electronica, jazz, hip hop reggae and rock.

Peatbog Faeries recently formed six-man line up combines the dynamics of the larger band with a new, vibrant and exciting sound.

Anyone who enjoys music that blurs boundaries of traditional and modern sounds should enjoy the Peatbog Faeries’ Bangor set.
