WRESTLING legend Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson once again shows his action hero credentials with Journey 2: The Mysterious Island 3D (PG).
Young adventurer Sean Anderson (Josh Hutcherson) from 2008’s Journey to the Centre of the Earth accompanies his stepfather Hank Parsons (Johnson) on a fun-filled adventure, packed with strange creatures and volcanic eruptions.
Michael Caine, Luiz Guzman and Vanessa Hudgens also star.
ADAM Sandler returns in family comedy Jack and Jill (PG), where successful advertising exec Jack Sadelstein's life is turned upside down by his maddening twin sister Jill.
Critics have hardly heaped praise on Jack and Jill as they did with The Waterboy or Happy Gilmore, but the amiable Sander and the likes of Al Pacino and Katie Holmes might this one worth a look.
THRILLER Man on a Ledge (12A) sees negotiator Lydia Mercer (Elizabeth Banks) called in to talk hotel guest Nick Cassidy (Sam Worthington) down from a ledge outside his top floor room.
Oscar-winner Ed Harris, Anthony Mackie and Jamie Bell also star.
