A WARM Welcomme will be offered at a forthcoming musical event.
Welcomme, Finnan and Chrimes will be paying a visit to Ruthin AllStyles Music Club next month.
The trio will be in action on November 22, from 7.30pm.
The weekly Ruthin AllStyles folk and acoustic singers night has become a firm favourite in the music lovers’ calendar and the events will continue with the popular Chester trio Welcomme, Finnan and Chrimes.
Frank Welcomme, John Finnan and Andy Chrimes perform both traditional and contemporary music on a copious array of instruments.
John playes the guitar and autoharp, while Andy performs on the guitar, mandolin, five-string banjo and accordion.
Frank can be found on the upright bass, guitar, mouth harp and accordion.
All three share the lead vocals, each supported by the others’ brilliant harmonies.
This results in a wildly varied and entertaining set, featuring material so diverse that one minute you are hearing traditional folk, the next Procol Harum’s Whiter Shade of Pale, and with a bit of rock n’ roll thrown in for good measure!
The evening will begin with a round of floor spots by a selection of Ruthin AllStyles regulars, who will deliver a broad mix of folk, Blues, R'n'B and country, followed by two fabulous 45-minute sets from the guests.
Welcomme, Finnan and Chrimes will be performing in the function room at the The Feathers Inn, Ruthin.
Doors open at 7.15pm, with the music getting underway at 7.45pm.
