ROLLERMANIA is on its way back.

Les McKeown's Legendary Bay City Rollers promise to recreate the music and ambience of the 1970s tartan teenybop idols at the Pavilion in Rhyl on Saturday, October 13.

McKeown, the Rollers' original lead singer, and his four-piece band will perform songs that influenced the group as they were forging their way in the music business, as well as unforgettable hits like Bye Bye Baby, Shang-a-Lang, Remember, Summerlove Sensation and Give A Little Love .

The tour date promises to a unique voyage back to the 1970s, when the Rollers’ music topped the chart and became the soundtrack for a generation of teen and pre-teen girls.

The Rollers were formed in 1966 in Edinburgh but McKeown joined the band in 1974 as they were about to be catapulted to global fame.

The screams of a generation of young girls could be heard around the world.

The Rollers were mobbed wherever they went and their trademark fashion style of calf-length tartan trousers and tartan scarves was universally adopted by fans.

The Bay City Rollers notched up 10 UK top-10 hits and two number-one album successes with Rollin’ and Once Upon A Star.

They also had their own syndicated TV show, broadcast on both sides of the Atlantic.

Over a period of five years, they consistently reached number one, not only in Britain but all over Europe, North America, Japan and Australia, enjoying album sales in excess of 300 million.

Les McKeown's Legendary Bay City Rollers will also play tracks from their new album, Lost Songs.

The Pavilion show starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are £23.50, available online at rhylpavilion.co.uk or by telephoning the box office on 01745 330000.
