Two of rock's brightest stars from two different sides of the pond will come together in Llandudno for a rare evening of awesome guitar playing and beautifully crafted songwriting.

The well seasoned voice of US veteran Willy Porter will join Kent up-and-comer Luke Jackson's youthful vibrancy at 3rd Space @ the Great Orme Brewery this October.

Presenting the sublime intergenerational pairing of two of the greatest voices, this thrilling chance to witness a player in his prime and the rapid ascension of a rising star is unmissable for any fan of good, old fashioned American roots and folk.

Porter has been turning first time listeners into die hard fans for more than two decades, blurring the line between indie-folk and rock with his searing signature finger-picking guitar sound, absorbing lyrics, and playful, high-energy live performance style.

He has shared world stages with music icons Jeff Beck, Tori Amos, and Paul Simon, carving out a successful solo career as an artist who makes music that resonates long after the last guitar chord fades.

Equally accomplished as a guitarist, singer, and songwriter, his songs weave a universal perspective about the questions, struggles, and triumphs of human existence.

His live shows are guitar-driven events–equal parts grit, soul, and muscle–that are electrifying, dynamic, and wholly original in the way that Willy’s voice blends and fuses with his virtuoso fret work, Porter gifts listeners with an unforgettable ride, embodying the very best of what live music has to offer.

Joining Porter is Luke Jackson is a singer-songwriter from Canterbury, Kent, who in 2013 was nominated in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards for both the Horizon Award for Best Emerging Talent and The Young Folk Category.

Impressively, he was also winner of Fatea’s Male Artist of the Year in 2014 and 2016.

The perfect foil for Porter, over the past few years he has steadily been developing a reputation for himself in the Folk & Roots circuits either through his solo shows, many festival appearances or when opening for such luminaries as Fairport Convention, Show of Hands, Steve Knightley, Martyn Joseph, Seth Lakeman, Karine Polwart, Oysterband, Paul Brady, Glen Tilbrook and Sarah Jarosz.

Catch these two amazing performers at 3rd Space on Monday, October 22 at 7pm.

Tickets are £14 in advance, available from 3rdspace.wales, or £16 on the door.
