The circus is coming home this month under the watchful gaze of a Rhyl ringmistress.

Circus Sallai, a brand new big top troupe will bring one of the largest circus acts North Wales has ever seen to Towyn's Tir Prince raceway from Thursday, August 16 until Sunday, September 2.

A spokesperson for Circus Sallai said:"Our ringmistress Angel Sallai is returning to Rhyl after 20 years where she was born and this year will be celebrating her birthday back in the town.

"We are a brand new circus with a modern twist on traditional circus to celebrate 250 years of the circus.

"We want you to leave the ordinary day behind and come along to witness an extraordinary simply spectacular experience, in our magical world with beautiful lighting, fantastic music and fabulous costumes.

Circus Sallai will bring one of the largest travelling casts of acrobats, aerial performers, jugglers, clowns, magicians, stunt riders and more for an evening of family fun guaranteeing excitement, joy, laughter and plenty of thrills and spills.

It takes 20 trucks and vans and a crew of 50 people to cram in the full cast and bring this incredible show to Towyn.

For a night to remember, full of breathtaking moments and dazzling feats of near superhuman finesse, head to Tir Prince from Thursday, August 16's grand opening at 6pm.

Weekday and Sunday performances are at 3pm and 6pm, with an extra show at noon on Saturdays. There is just one 3pm show on Sunday, September 2 and no performances on Monday, August 20.
