An Elvis superfan will bring 20 years of experience to Rhyl this weekend to celebrate the life and music of the King.
Actor and singer Mario Kombou will take to the Pavilion stage this weekend in The Elvis Years.
Some 41 years after the death of the legend, the show is headed to Rhyl as part of a nationwide tour, marking the show’s own 10th anniversary.
Helmed by actor, singer and tribute superstar Kombou – original lead in the West End show, Jailhouse Rock – and his band, each distinct phase of the King's story will be brought back to life with a world class cast, authentic costumes and rare film footage.
Kombou is the only tribute artist ever to have been endorsed by Donna Presley, Elvis’s first cousin, who invited him to Memphis in 2000 after attending one of his shows.
She had spoken of how much she was moved by his amazing vocal resemblance and his expert recreation of the King’s mannerisms, charisma and magnetism.
The Elvis Years features more than 50 of the King’s greatest hits including Hound Dog, It’s Now or Never, Just Can’t Help Believing and Suspicious Minds, as well as lesser-known gems such as Rock A Hula Baby and Bossa Nova Baby.
