More than 2,000 people gathered for a feast in Rhuddlan.

Rhuddlan's fourth annual Food and Craft Festival saw more than 40 stalls spread out over Rhuddlan Community Centre and the Parliament Street Car Park to promote the town's businesses opened by the new mayor, cllr Gareth Rowlands.

As well as stalls, the event - on Sunday, May 25 - also featured an eclectic line up of acts performing throughout the day, including Ysgol Dewi Sant’s children’s choir, a magician, Punch and Judy, a jazz duo the Hotfoot Jazzmen and a bongo drummer.

Cllr Arwel Roberts, chairman of the voluntary group organising the event, said: "It takes several months of hard work to bring everything together but it’s all worthwhile when you see so many people enjoying themselves in the centre of the town.

"Some people come to sample and purchase the food and crafts and some come just to enjoy the community atmosphere and have a chat with friends. It was good to see that many people came from outside of Rhuddlan and I spoke to people from several different towns and villages.”
