AN ANGLESEY cat has become an internet sensation.

Ralphi, who is three in July, has been wearing a cat-cam collar whilst on his outdoor adventures, and the unique feline photography is causing a storm online.

His website, www.ralphicat.co.uk, features the best of his work, and a Ralphi worship site has already sprung up on Facebook.

Ralphi's owner and webmaster explained that the camera, which takes a succession of snapshots every few minutes, was bought for him by workmates from a German eBay vendor who makes the collars; he said: "I decided to set up the website as a bit of fun, but recently it's receiving an increasing number of hits and one person told me they have already set up a Ralphi worship site on Facebook!

"One of the main reasons for trying out the camera is that I have always wanted to know where he goes – and now I know his world is not quite as huge as I thought."

Once a week Ralphi dons his collar to catalogue his adventures, and on an average afternoon out may return with around 300 photographs, the best of which are then uploaded onto his site.

And the feline snapper, who enjoys eating spaghetti and mashed potato with cheese, has been putting a completely new perspective on the world with his cat's eye photography.

His owner added: "He's quite adventurous but not a good hunter at all, so I think in the pictures where he's looking at the sky, he's probably a bit too late looking for birds!

"The pictures highlight his regular haunts around the garden and regular routes he takes on his travels, and when the weather turns bad, he's always straight under the greenhouse – it's a real eye opener to see the world from cat level," his owner added

Great article ... any chance the Chron could publish some of his photos? I've looked at the web site and some of them are REALLY artistic ... hard to believe they were taken by a cat. I've tried guessing where he lives but don't have a clue ... I guess cats live in a small world !
