ALMOST sixty thousand people attended this year's Anglesey Show with a feast of entertainment and competitions.
The Royal Artillery put on a thrilling display of speed and breathtaking skill with their motorcycle display team.
Their crossover manouvre from the four corners of the arena reached a closing speed of 90 mph with riders missing each other by inches.
At a more sedate pace the 28,000 people who attended each day enjoyed hundreds of stalls and displays by rescue dogs, falconers, gun dogs and country crafts and skills.
The attendence was up on 2007 and Rachael Allen, of Bangor, said there was more to see at this year's event.
"It was fantastic. There was no rain when we were there and there was more for the kids and mine thoroughly enjoyed it," said Rachael.
"It was packed and the exhibits were great. We had a lovely day."
The show administrator Aled Hughes said the attendance was up on last year and more families had attended.
"The response from the visitors was very good and we had more tourists and families this year," said Mr Hughes, who has been the administrator at the show for 18 years.
"We like to have holidaymakers at the show because they get to learn what goes on in the countryside," he said.
Farmers from all over the region showed their immaculately turned out stock with dairy cattle and lowland sheep being judged on day one, and beef cattle and mountain sheep following on day two.
Young farmer Emma Williams from Llanfechell, claimed the Jersey title in the dairy breed competition.
Her four-year-old second calver Sazon Duke Sweet Dreaming claimed the title before winning the reserve supreme title in the battle of the breeds.
