A GWYNEDD model is one step away from the final of one of the most famous international bikini model contest.

Kaycee Croft has made it to the preliminary stage of the 2008 Miss Hawaiian Tropic Great Britain competition, held on April 17 and 18 in the exclusive London restaurant, The Collection.

And Kaycee, who was born in Bangor has previously appeared on the cover of magazines such as Loaded and 100% Biker, revealed her dreams of going all the way to the final in Las Vegas.

She said: I'm shocked about getting into such an exclusive line up in such a fantastic competition.

"I'm going to do my best to get this little Welsh girl into the final, and I hope I can count on the support of everyone back home."

Her manager Max Hayes added: "Kaycee has always pushed herself; she's a very intelligent girl and has the motivation and personality to get places in this business. She came close to winning Max Power 2005 in the NEC (which made the likes of Jordan and Jakki Degg famous), and also came in the top six girls in the 2006 Miss Fast car competition."
