STAFF from Jobcentre Plus in Bangor have been given a grilling by a Dragons Den style panel as they put forward there idea to raise £20,000 for The Prince's Trust Cymru.

The group are one of three taking part in the Prince's Trust Cymru's Million Makers Challenge.

Million Makers is the largest employee fundraising initiative in the history of The Prince's Trust and involves 50 companies from across the UK competing to raise £1 million to give practical and financial support to disadvantaged young people aged 14-30.

The Welsh teams met in the Hilton Hotel, Cardiff, where they put their fundraising ideas to a panel of judges who cross examined the plans giving advice.

Jobcentre Plus' ideas were included a sponsored hike to the top of Snowdon, a cabaret dinner and charity auction.

Lisa Sparkes, from the Jobcentre Plus Team said: "We are very excited to be part of Million Makers. "We will have the satisfaction of knowing that the money we raise will help change young lives in Wales, and of course, we expect to have some fun along the way!"

The panel of judges was made up of a selection of business experts including Paul Gorin, managing director of marble recruitment Ltd; Julie Skelton, director of performance and planning for Legal & General; Marc Le Peltier, managing director of Maskreys; Alistair Davies, director at Deloitte and Dave Yeomans, operations manager, for Job Centre Plus.
