Chef Bryn cooks for cash

CELEBRITY chef Bryn Williams teamed up with Coleg Menai to raise more than £3,500 for the Teenage Cancer Trust.


Bryn treated guests of a five star gala dinner at Friars Hall to a three course menu, created by the acclaimed chef especially for the event.

Guests were also be treated to table magic provided by top magician, Paul Eds and also had the opport
unity to enter a raffle to win luxurious items such as country breaks and five star dinners kindly donated by local and national businesses.

Bryn, head chef at Odette's restaurant in Primrose Hill, London, and who won a public vote to cook the fish course at the Queen's 80th birthday, said: "I've been working hard on creating the perfect menu for this very special evening.

"I'm very proud to be involved in this worthwhile project and I'm really pleased to be working with the students here at Coleg Menai!"

He was assisted on the night by students from the college's caterin department.

Frances Davies, hospitality and catering programme Manager at Coleg Menai, described the event as a night to remember; she added: "We're very pleased to be working with the renowned Welsh Chef, Bryn Williams and are very thankful to him for giving up his time for this project.

"We'd also like to thank local businesses for their kind donations to the raffle, members of Coleg Menai staff who have donated their time and talents and the students who have all worked so hard to bring this event together."
