TWO brothers of the Force are looking for new recruits to join their Jedi Church in Holyhead.
Head of the international Higher Jedi Council, Master Morda HeHol, 21, and Jonba HeHol, 27, brothers Daniel and Barney Jones, founded the Anglesey Order of Jedi after being inspired by the 2001 UK census.

Jonba, minister of the Anglesey order and spokesman for the Jedi Council, said: "The original idea came from the 2001 census, in which Jedi was recognised as a religion by over 390,000 people, and named as the fourth most popular religion in the UK.

"It is a quasi spiritual thing and also gives a chance to fans of Star Wars to get together - we encourage people to watch the films, read the books and enjoy them for what they are, wonderfully entertaining stories.

"But most of all to take a look at the positive messages expressed within and apply them to your own lives - with guidance we can all attain the title of Jedi and forever live on the light side of the force."

The Anglesey Order ministrates the UK Church of Jedi Knights, as well as orders as far afield as Florida and the Philippines.

However at this time, they are seeking Jedi closer to home; Jonba explained that the Island's Jedi order has 30 full members but more Padawan, or Jedi trainees, are being sought.

He said: "We are looking for more local members for the Anglesey order, and are looking to rent a building for teaching and training purposes.

"The teachings are based on essays written by some fellow Jedi, as well as on the teachings of Master Yoda; it can be very beneficial for all members, in that it improves their minds, bodies and spirits.

"Jedi do not worship any particular deity - we use the energy around us to achieve spiritual peace and achieve our goals."

It's also something that is open to all; Jonba added: "This is just about how we choose to live; there could be a Jedi Buddhist, or a Jedi Christian, religion of the Force does not teaches 'thou shall not'.

"Our aim is to bring all of the world's believers in the Force together for the power of good."

Other important aspects Jedi training include swordsmanship and mental discipline; Jonba said: "It keeps the mind and body sharp; there is also teaching programme to help Jedi increase the power of their minds and their words.

"We start this life together and together we will grow."

If you are interested in becoming a Jedi, the Anglesey Order want to hear from you.

Members receive a certificate of approved from the council signed buy the council leaders, as well as a Jedi handbook and information about monthly Jedi meetings and teaching reports.
